I'm not sure if there is still anyone on this board but if anyone is reading this and you're interested in learning more about the history and technology of MySQL and MariaDB (the free-source replacement to MySQL from it's original architect), Kurt Von Finck from Monty Widenius' new start-up company (called the Monty Program) will be speaking at the Florida Linux Show this Saturday, the 24th, at the Radisson in Celebration (corner of I-4 and US 192).
