I'm an experienced system administrator and manager working as the IT department of a small start-up in Cambridge. I've flirted with MySQL over the years, but this is the first job where I've been directly responsible for keeping it running.
How did you get interested in: computers, databases, mysql? (pick one or all of the topics)

I first used a computer back in the early 1970s: the board of education had an HP minicomputer with magnetic core memory visible through a little window in the front. Mark-sense bubble cards with BASIC keyword bubbles for ease of programming...

I'm mostly "webber" for computer purposes. "Bob" seemed like a better bet for a social group.
