Please note the date change to Thursday, September 7th, NOT on Monday, September 11th.
The September Boston MySQL User Group Meeting will feature Tom Hanlon, MySQL employee. He will answer questions, particularly about performance issues. Bring theoretical questions as well as actual issues you've been having.
If you have an actual issue, please submit or bring descriptions of all relevant queries, tables, data samples, etc. See http://www.sheeri.com... for more details (sorry about the link, the meetup site limits the description to 1500 chars).
We will be meeting on MIT campus, close to Kendall Square on the Red Line (subway). There is plenty of free parking -- you can park in ANY MIT lot after 3 pm, even if it says "parking by permit only". We are in building E51, room 372.
Here is the URL for MIT's Map with the location of this building:

This map shows the MBTA Kendall Stop:

(the stop is in red on that map, and you can see E51 in the bottom right)

Free pizza and soda will be served, so please RSVP accurately.

I learnt a number of generic rules for relational Databases, and was glad to see same rules apply. Since I don't actually use MYSQL, I use SQLServer, I'll probably stick around for sometime to see what else I can pick up.
